Recognized on Crain’s Chicago Business’ 20 in their 20s & Success Magazine’s 30 under 30 lists, LaForce Baker, is the Founder, C.E.O. & Executive Chef of Moon Meals. Inc., a manufacturer of tasty refrigerated plant-based meals and their ingredients (vegan meats, cheeses and sauces). Their products have been featured in the “grab & go” delis of Chicago-area major retailers like Albertson’s, Jewel-Osco, and soon Whole Foods Market in almost 200 locations across the 3 states. He manages Moon Meals’ day-to-day operations, new product development, sales, marketing and strategic partnerships. Prior to founding the company in 2012, he helped bring to market new concepts in national grocery chains for large food companies like Kraft, Conagra and Nestle. He does this because he is truly passionate about making healthier meals more accessible to people, since he overcame obesity and poverty on the South Side of Chicago by taking control of his own diet.
